Spread the love locally this Valentine’s Day with homegrown gifts on the KZN South Coast
Celebrated as a day of love, Valentine’s Day is a time to acknowledge that significant other by showering them with gifts on 14 February. In line with more sustainable practices, shoppers are being directed to buy locally manufactured goods on the KZN South Coast through the Buy Local campaign.
“Since the launch of our Buy Local campaign last year, we have welcomed several KZN South Coast manufacturers who are benefitting from the business and networking support of this membership,” explained Nkululeko Hlongwane, Investment & Development Manager. “Buying local has several socio-economic benefits, not only for local businesses but for consumers as well. Shoppers are now enjoying more cost-effective options made with fresher ingredients more sustainably. This Valentine’s Day, we want to encourage shoppers to share the love by supporting our local businesses when considering gifts, with bulk purchases a great option for schools and businesses.”
